Omsk city administration: Inventors and Efficiency Experts were awarded in Omsk

Certificates of Appreciation and Thank-you letters were handed to 27 inventors, the industrial enterprises, universities and research institutes employees, today. The awards were handed by the representatives of the region and city government agencies, as well as the Omsk region division of the Russian Engineering Union.

As it was told in the Department of Urban Economic Policy of Omsk administration, the award was timed to the Inventor and Efficiency Expert Day, which is celebrated on the last Saturday of June. It fell on June 26 this year.

Omsk inventors and efficiency experts were congratulated by Valery Karpov, the Chairman of Federal Publicly Funded Institution of Science Omsk Scientific Center of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Andrey Klyuchenko, the  Deputy Minister of Industry, Communications, Digital and Scientific and Technical Development of the Omsk Region, Vladimir Dorohin, the Chairman of the Omsk region division of the Russian Engineering Union, and Stanislav Usinurtsev, the  Secretary of the Omsk Branch of the All-Russian Society of Inventors and Efficiency Experts.

The head of the innovation department of the Federal State-owned Publicly-funded Institution of Higher Education “Omsk State Technical University”Alexey Fedorov informed us about the inventive activity development in our region.

In accordance with data of the think tank of the Federal State Budgetary Institution “Federal Institute of Industrial Property” (FIPS), the Siberian Federal District ranked fourth in filing applications for inventions and utility models among others Federal Districts of Russian Federation by the end of 2020. 2646 applications were filed from the Siberian Federal District. Omsk has the reach scientific resource and strong industrial base, together with Novosibirsk, Krasnoyarsk and Tomsk determines the development of inventive thought in Siberia. The Omsk Region entered the top five in the Siberian Federal District in terms of inventive activity, taking 4th place.

Inventors from the region filed 197 invention applications and 85 utility models applications in 2020. Denis Grebenyuk, the Acting Director of the Department of Urban Economic Policy of the Omsk City Administration, handed the Omsk city mayor Certificates of Appreciation to Ilya Kuvaitsev, the Deputy Head of the Production of High-Octane Additives and Liquefied Hydrocarbons of AO “Omsky kauchuk”, and Sergey Punov, the head of the workshop No. 4 for the preparation of raw materials for the production of carbon black Omsk Carbon Group OOO.

Thank-you letters signed by Oksana Fadina were handed to representatives of АО Transneft Western Siberia, JSC, JSC Gazpromneft-ONPZ and Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Federal Research and Production Center” Progress”.

During the awarding, Denis Grebenyuk noted that Omsk enterprises actively introduce innovative practices for organizing production, including lean manufacturing methods allow the rational use of resources and thereby increase labor productivity.
