Russian chemical industry is ready for partnership with Uzbekistan

The Head of the Chemical Industry Committee of Delovaya Rossiya, the founder of the GC “Titan” Mikhail Sutyaginsky made a business trip to Uzbekistan production enterprises. Following the results of his visit the industrialist determined several lines of Russian chemical industry cooperation with Uzbek one.

This working trip took place within the visit to the exhibition “INNOPROM. Great industrial week”, which is being held in Tashkent from April 5 to 7. INNOPROM has united over 300 industrial enterprises from 20 countries of the world - Western Europe, East and Central Asia at the exhibition complex “Uzexpocenter”. Thousands of specialized participants have attended the exhibition and events of the business program. We should clarify that Mikhail Sutyaginsky visited Tashkent on the delegation of the business association “Delovaya Rossiya”.

Nowadays Uzbekistan is moving toward economy liberalization, preferences for investors have been introduced here, import restrictions have been lifted, duties and taxes have been reduced. The country with significant raw stock offers not only localization of foreign production facilities, but also organization of raw materials deep conversion based on clusters. The share of industrial products in the republic's GDP increased by 10% for four years, and the volume of chemical industry production grew threefold. All this attracts foreign capital here.

The Group of companies “Titan” exports synthetic rubber to this Central Asian country for mechanical rubber goods production. The company is also ready to supply acetone, which is used for acetate fiber production. In future, there may be even more cooperation variants.

Mikhail Sutyaginsky was present at the key exhibition event – the session “World industrial production is in search of growth drivers”, which was held involving Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, Vice-Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade Sardor Umurzakov, specialized ministers of the Governments of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Belarus, as well as heads of industrial companies and partner regions.

The head of the GC “Titan” held also negotiations with representatives of JSC “Uzkimyosanoat” - a structure that unites chemical enterprises of the country. In addition, he visited Tashkent branch of the Russian Chemical-Engineering University named after D.I. Mendeleev.

“Uzbekistan is engaged in deep cotton conversion using ingredients based on isopropyl alcohol, and in Omsk we get the highest quality alcohol of 99.99%, which can increase competitive advantage of cotton products,” Mikhail Sutyaginsky noted following the results of the visit. “We are also working over the variant of PET pellets supplying here from our future production facility in Pskov for polyester fiber manufacturing. In general, I see at least six aspects of mutually profitable supplies, including within cluster model and organization of deeper redistributions, which will give the possibility of development of low-tonnage chemical production”.
