Chemical Portal No. 1 in Russia: “Omsky kauchuk” became a participant of the “Labor Productivity” National Project

A kick-off meeting was held at “Omsky kauchuk” plant, dedicated to the start of work of federal experts with the company's team to increase productivity.

The event was attended by Dmitry Ushakov, First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government, Anna Negoduiko, Minister of Economy, Olga Tarasenko and Sergey Ivanilov, heads of the Group of companies Titan and “Omsky kauchuk”, Gennady Muravlev and Anvar Nurtdinov, experts of the Federal Competence Center in the labor productivity field.

The goal of the “Labor Productivity” National Project is to increase the production efficiency, reduce production costs, as well as its volume increase. The project has been successfully implemented since 2020, over 50 Omsk enterprises have become its participants for this period. Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly spoken about its importance for our economy.

“Omsky kauchuk” is one of the founders of the petrochemical industry in the region. The flagship of the industry in the country, it occupies a stable position at the petrochemical market. High positions have become possible due to continuous development and modernization of the production. Programs of the technological development of the enterprise, concentrated on the import substitution, have been launched. The company’s participation in the national project demonstrates a strong desire to developing, minimizing losses and increasing efficiency. I support the management mood, there is no limit to perfection,” Dmitry Ushakov remarked.

Within the national project, experts together with the company’s employees will improve processes in the rubber production.

“We expect to reduce the production process time period, in accordance with the production standards, as well as to increase the output of products, in this case of synthetic rubber, by 5%. We are taking into consideration this experience for further replication at our enterprise,” Sergey Ivanilov, General Director of the AO “Omsky kauchuk” noted.

The plant has already completed training for employees under the “Export Growth Accelerator” program, its goal is to study tools for analyzing markets, finding buyers and attracting financing. Now the plant’s employees are being trained under the “Productivity Leaders” program. It is also planned that the “Efficiency Experts” program will be introduced to solve rationalization tasks.

“Omsky kauchuk” is the second enterprise of the Group of companies Titan, having joined the “Labor Productivity” National Project. Earlier, Titan-Agro company became its participant.

The implementation of the national project at the enterprise is intended to last 3 years. In 6 months, a sample flow will be created, internal trainers will be trained to implement lean production tools. In the next 2.5 years, the company will independently continue to replicate lean technologies to other production sites. Experts will provide consulting support within the national project.

We should remind that the “Labor Productivity” national project was initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin and is designed to create conditions for annual labor productivity increase in the country. To implement this task, a set of state support measures for business has been developed - financial incentives and expert assistance in improving production processes. Assistance to enterprises in improving processes and introducing the culture of lean manufactoring in Omsk region is provided by experts from Federal and Regional Centers of competence in the field of labor productivity in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy with supported by industry ministries - the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Construction and the Ministry of Transport
