AIF: Sergey Shelest shared a photo of Buchholz monument delivered to Omsk

"Preparation for the City Day celebration is going on in all directions. The gift from GC Titan is almost ready," Omsk Mayor Sergey Shelest reported in his Telegram channel.

The monument will be unveiled this coming weekend on the City Day. Prior to that, the place near the monument was promised to be landscaped so that to preserve the integrity and space of the environment.

It should be reminded that the decision to build a monument to the founder of the city was announced last autumn. The initiative belongs to the Mayor of the city. It will be the first equestrian sculpture in Omsk. Buchholz is sitting on horseback there.

In the centre of the pedestal the inscription "To Ivan Dmitrievich Buchholz and the founders of the first Omsk fortress" was supposed to be made.
