At the online seminar held on January 21 representatives of the AO GC Titan demonstrated to their potential scientific partners from the Mendeleev Accelerator and the Skolkovo Fund the topics that the company is interested in: advanced chemical technologies and reduction of anthropogenic impact.
We should recall that in fall of 2021 the AO GC Titan became a member of the Chemistry of Innovation program implemented by the Mendeleev Accelerator (D.I. Mendeleev Russian Chemical Technology University) and the Skolkovo Fund. The project includes the search, selection and intensive development of small innovative technological companies (start-ups). The first results of joint-work and applications received by the Mendeleev Accelerator were discussed at the online seminar.
“The AO GC Titan is aimed at greening and improving the energy efficiency of existing production units, and establishment of further processing facilities, that is why we are ready to support projects connected with the application of micro-fluid technologies in the field of organic synthesis and molecular modeling of new materials based on phenol, acetone, ethers, alcohol and olefins,” Deputy General Director for Business Development of the AO GC Titan Valentina Prilepskaya said.
To minimize environmental impact it is important for the AO GC Titan to recycle industrial waste into products. Further processing of captured carbon dioxide, reducing resource consumption and increasing energy efficiency of production and application of renewable vegetative raw materials for the production of non-standard products are also essential.
The AO “Omsky kauchuk” plant (the key petrochemical facility of the AO GC Titan) will become a platform for the implementation of new technologies.
An initial selection will be made by experts from the Mendeleev Accelerator – the first large-scale industrial accelerator for start-ups in the chemical industry – and the Skolkovo Fund, and a working group of R&D specialists headed by Alexey Averkov, Director of the Engineering Center of the AO GC Titan. Totally, it is planned to select at least ten projects. Winners will be chosen at a pitch-session in spring of 2022.
We would like to add that the strategic session on promising technologies in the field of agro-chemicals will be the next event of the Chemistry of Innovation project.
