Group of Companies «Titan»: bringing kindness to hospice

Activists of Youth Social Initiatives Center of the Group of Companies «Titan» visited hospice «Home of Cheerful Childhood». This is final event of the initiative «Marathon of kindness» arranged by the company for the third time.

Titan employees brought artwork accessories and good mood to young patients and administration of the company complimented the hospice with monetary funds gathered during annually charitable initiative «Marathon of kindness». The funds will be used for development of children hospice.

Valery Evstigneyev, Chairman of Charity Center «Raduga», the main champion of creation of a European-class hospice in the region told that Home of Cheerful Childhood exists due to the help of volunteers: «The buildings were constructed by efforts of empathic residents of Omsk who got involved in this activity — gathered money, provided building materials and worked with their own hands. The hospice needs further development. Beautification of the area is under way: lighting of terrain cure area — specially mapped walking routes along forest paths — is being arranged; heated box for animals with which children can communicate is being built at the moment. Any amount of donation is essential for the hospice — the ocean consists of the smallest drops».

Employees of Home of Cheerful Childhood emphasize that not only financial aid is important, manpower is needed all the time: to put the area in order, to keep the children amused for the mommies to have some rest — there is work for everyone. Volunteers from Titan did their part. Men helped builders and women put flower beds in order.

«We communicated with the children quite a lot, — Yulia Shnaider, job foreman of control and instrumentation shop of «Omsky kauchuk» plant shared her impressions. — We played with some of them, held someone by the hand or just were beside to let the mommies of young patients have a little rest. On the way back we discussed the way we, youth of Titan, could help these children in the future.

Employees of Titan and members of their families take part in the charitable initiative «Marathon of Kindness» which is associated with Siberian International Marathon. Participation in this largest running event beyond the Urals is traditionally free of charge for employees of Titan, their children and relatives, since registration fee is paid by the company. From 2017 the Marathon became charitable action for Titan's employees: all participants of the race make fair share of contribution. During the last three years all collected funds are given to Charity Center «Raduga»: total amount of material aid to the center amounted about 100,000 rubles for this short period of time.

The implementation of voluntary initiatives of the Group of Companies «Titan» team has become regular since 2016 as part of a larger project — program of corporate volunteering «Kindness of Titan» supervised by Youth Social Initiatives Center of the company.
