Cutting-edge bar-coding system for finished products was put into operation at Titan-SM

A Novocherkassk plant producing lubricants and industrial fluids (part of Titan-SM) launched a new complex bar-coding system.

The system marks finished products and provides each piece with individual label with batch number and full description. Laboratory analysis results for the compliance of batches to quality standards and shipping orders are then automatically uploaded into the system.

Today Titan-SM manufactures products for a number of industrial sectors: machine and instrument engineering, metallurgy and metal processing, automotive and railway transport, oil and gas sector. Titan-SM’s production capacity is about 35 KTA. The company operates using a unique technology based on anhydric brewing, which ensures the production of high quality products and significantly reduces energy costs.

“There is now a lot of opportunities within the market as foreign manufacturers have left it. We have moved to digitalization of the shipping process and found an alternative to foreign containers. They were replaced with eco-friendly domestic ones,” head of the Moscow separate division of GC Titan Aleksandr Orlov said.

The company continues its active development, applies new production technologies, and constantly improves the quality of its products. Currently the capacity of the plant allows it to manufacture more than 12 thousand tones of greases and more than 23 thousand tones of industrial fluids per year.

“Titan-SM, together with SPB Mining University, is currently developing new types of solutions and destructors for gas wells. We plan to start manufacturing new products as early as the first half of next year, General Director of Titan-SM Mikhail Maltsev said.

The company also plans to establish a laboratory on the territory of the plant for carrying out in-house research. This will ensure high quality of products by controlling every production stage: from the analysis of input feedstock to output of finished products. All of this will also make it possible to develop new products for industrial sectors.
